Not All Finance Jobs Are the Same Job

Two graduates can both say they work at a global bank in Chennai and be doing completely different things, with completely different futures. Most students do not learn this distinction until they are two years into the wrong one.

What most placements are

Back-Office Operations

  • Trade reconciliations, settlements, KYC checks, data entry into internal systems
  • Process-driven work, largely following a checklist someone else designed
  • High volume hiring, so easy to get and easy for an institute to count
  • Hard to exit. After two years, recruiters read your CV as operations experience
  • Salary growth flattens early and promotion usually means supervising the same process
The job title and the employer logo can look identical to a core finance role on LinkedIn. The work is not.

We do not guarantee placement. Any institute that does is either counting operations roles or not being straight with you. Outcomes depend on your effort, your attendance and how you perform in interviews.

We do not have tie-ups with companies. There is no pipeline that automatically absorbs our students. Placements happen because a student is genuinely good enough for the role.

We are not the fastest route to any job. If you want a finance-adjacent role quickly, operations hiring is far higher volume and you do not need us for it. We are slower on purpose.

What we do commit to: we will not push you toward a role we would not take ourselves, and we keep working with you until you land something worth having.

Does SkilledGrad guarantee placement?
No. SkilledGrad does not guarantee placement, and any institute that does is either counting operations roles or not being straight with you. Outcomes depend on your effort, your exam results and the openings available at the time. What we commit to is preparation, honest role screening and introductions to the companies hiring for core finance work in Chennai.
Is placement support charged separately?
No. Placement support is included with every SkilledGrad course and is not a separate programme you buy. Every student enrolled in ACCA, CFA or Financial Modelling & Valuation at our Purasaiwakkam and Tambaram centres in Chennai gets all of it as part of the course fee.
